Shma in sign language, Shana Tova Shana Tova send J and A right over, and Clifford speaks Hebrew?!?!?

Each week we start our class by shouting the "Shma," "Listen up Jewish people, there is only one Gd!" and by saying it silently, in sign language. We have almost finished learning all the signs for the Shma!

We really enjoyed learning about the Jewish new year, Rosh Hashana. Since we can't give birthday cards to the world, we give them to each other and say "shana tova."

We also played a game, like red rover, "shana tova, shana tova send J*** and A**** right over!"

Check out this funny shana tova video:

Teamwork:

We've been reading lots of books with Hebrew phrases. So far, we know about "Tov" (good) manners, "azeh balagan" (what a mess!), Mr. Regel (Mr. Foot)...

...and now we are reading a Clifford the Big Red Dog book, in Hebrew!

We never knew Clifford was bilingual, but he is!
